I am happily using Thunderbird 102.3.1 on Windows 10.
I tend to have tabs open in the main window for quite a lot of mails (mails that I plan to read again, mails that I plan to reply to etc etc).
Once I click "reply" (or "forward") Thunderbird opens a separate window for all my open mails (as if I wanted to reply to all of them one after the other). Thunderbird didn't do that before the update to this version (and I guess the one before that): It would as expected, on the click to reply/forward ONLY open one window for the one mail I wanted to reply to/forward.
If I close all these open tabs and then select a mail from the my inbox and clock reply (forward), it opens, as expected, only one window: For the selected mail.
Is that a known behavior? How can I avoid that? It is a bit confusing if after a simple click on "reply" it opens a dozen windows that I all except for one need to close again.
